When detected early, bladder cancer has a cure rate of over 90%. Typical signs of disease are blood in urine or pain when urinating. However, in early stages, there may be very small amounts of blood, often not visible. Timely screening with a test that can detect these small amounts is therefore useful and important. After all, in advanced disease with metastasis, a cure is often no longer possible.
